Manuel Alvarado, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Puerto Rico in Puerto Rico. He went on to receive his medical degree, with honors, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. His OB/GYN residency training was at the San Juan City Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Dr. Alvarado has been in private practice in Florida since 1991 and formed Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology of Lake County in 2000 before retiring from practice in 2019. Having more than 38 years of diverse experiences, especially in OB/GYN, Dr. Alvarado is affiliated with many hospitals, including Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital.

He received his Board Certification in 1988 and is a Fellow at the American College of Ob-Gyn. In addition, Dr. Alvarado was an Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He is married with three children.

Dr. Alvarado is retired from OBGYN but is currently practicing Wound Care at UF Health Central Florida, UF Health Leesburg Hospital Wound Care, and The Villages Hospital Wound Care.
